Its West Point, Georgia plant was slated to start producing electric SUVs in 2024.

The production of the Kia EV9 in Georgia has been unequivocally verified by the Korean automaker.

The factory's ability to accommodate its production will cost more than $200 million.

Along with four other Kia vehicles, the EV9 will begin assembly in West Point in the second quarter of 2024.

The Telluride, Sorento, and Sportage SUVs as well as the K5 mid-size car are all produced by Kia.
