Sales of Ford Motor's F-Series trucks saw strong increases in the second quarter, driving a 9.9% increase over the same period last year.

The Detroit automaker announced sales of 531,662 vehicles from April through June on Thursday, an improvement over the year prior's muted performance.

Due to a shortage of the Mach-E, Ford's EV sales for the quarter fell 2.8% to 14,843 units.
